Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

Scale and Grade of all logs received into the GLC yard.

Purchasing as needed

Selling of all logs: veneer, saw logs, pulp, etc.

Safe operation of all equipment including chainsaws, wheel loader, hydraulic cranes

Understand and comply with all SWPPP plans.

Understand and comply with GLC spill procedures

Purchasing

Monitor Log yard receipts for quality on a daily basis.

Report to Wood Procurement Manager quality challenges

Daily tracking of receipts into Log yard

Match scale loads to BOL (Bill of Lading)

Ensure all data is transferred to Cortland timely and accurately.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Years of Experience: This is a highly skilled position requiring specie identification, grade rules and well developed lumbering skillsEducation: High School or experience providing skills suitable for this position
Must maintain and demonstrate a working knowledge of all hardwood grading rules
May be required to lift up to 100 pounds
Frequent twisting, turning, and bending
