Maintenance Technician required at our BWP Hardwoods, Brookville PA location to perform installation, repairing, troubleshooting and maintaining plant industrial equipment, electric motors, hydraulics lines, and working through OEM on PLC's equipment used in lumber sawmill manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical repairs on industrial equipment;
• Required to work in a very fast-paced industrial manufacturing environment with emphasis on safety, quality, environmental concerns and production goals;
• Diagnose equipment based on inspection and maintain for improved reliability and up-time;
• Detect hazards and make recommendation for adjustments, relocation, or replacement.
• Installs control and distribution apparatus, connects power cables to equipment;
• Perform continuity test of circuit and observe functioning of installed equipment;
• Knowledge of a 3 phase 480 Volt Systems and troubleshooting skills;
• Must be attentive, responsible, goal oriented, and safety minded;
• Understanding of welding and fabrication would be beneficial;
• Service and maintain all shop equipment;
• Have the ability to use and understand a Fluke electric meter;
• Have knowledge and experience with PLC’s and troubleshooting PLC cards;

• Steel toed work boots
• ARC Flash training a plus

Qualifications

• GED/HS Diploma or BOCES training in Industrial Electricity/ Electronics or military maintenance and or mechanical courses
• 3-5 years’ electrical / PLC experience
• Experience with tools of the industry
• Knowledge and experience with electrical aspects of mechanical equipment
