Paul Bunyan , in Preble NY is seeking Pallet Equipment Operators (nailer operator, chop saw operator, sorter/stacker operator, trimmer operator) responsible for setup, maintaining and operating equipment at a production pace. Contributes to a work environment where all employees work safely and respectfully with one another.
 
 
Responsibilities

• Perform job according to Operating Procedures and safety expectations
• Maintain the conveyors, and pallet sortation and automated equipment; reports abnormal conditions to Supervisor
• Inspect, clean, lubricate and make adjustments to all assigned equipment
• Inspect and examine work in process to assure quality standards are met
• Identify all loads processed through the production process
• Coordinate activities with operators servicing the pallet equipment
• Move material to warehouse while adhering to all material tracking procedures
• Assist as necessary in the completion of preventative maintenance tasks along with repairs and troubleshooting
• Help in maintaining a clean and safe work environment
• Perform other related duties as assigned, primarily material handling

• Requires personal protective equipment be worn at all times;

Qualifications
Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience.

 
Experience

• 6+ months
• Previous pallet mill experience is helpful.

• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.

• Listen and interpret verbal and written instructions as it relates to equipment maintenance and operation
• Agility to work on 1^st or 2^nd shift, weekends and / or overtime
• Ability to understand and communicate effectively.
• Willing to learn and perform new tasks
• Must be punctual and dependable.
• Must be able to lift 50+ lbs.
