Millwright required to work Vernon, NY with project management experience;  this is a very fast paced industrial manufacturing environment with emphasis on safety, quality, production and environmental concerns. Perform mechanical repair and maintenance on industrial equipment within a sawmill.


Responsibilities
 

• Spend time fabricating/building special projects for installing during down time; gearboxes, fans, motors and machinery
• Performs repairs on all equipment in the facility, including hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical equipment within state and local standards
• Good understanding of chain and power ban drives
• Must be attentive, responsible, goal oriented, with the ability to follow lock out, and all safety procedures
• Lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators and related equipment
• Assists & implements a preventative maintenance program

• Requires personal protective equipment be worn at all times;
• safety glasses;
• hearing protection;
• head protection;
• steel toed work boots;

• GED/HS Diploma or BOCES electrical program or Military experience
• 2+ years’ experience
• Experience with tools of the industry
• Effective written and verbal communication
• Weld and cut at journeyman level;
