Sawyer wanted in Brookville PA,  Cortland NY, and Freedom NY. Saws logs for maximum value recovery by following daily cutting orders and achieving proper levels of yield.

Responsibilities
 

• Accountable for proper operation of the carriage, feed works and log turner;
• Identify improperly cut lumber and makes necessary corrections;
• Conducts a daily physical inspection all equipment;
• Checks Lumber thickness at saw;
• Quality control management;
   

Safety Equipment Required to Wear

• Requires personal protective equipment be worn at all times;
• Safety glasses;
• Hearing protection;
• Head protection;
• Steel toed work boots;

Qualifications

• GED/HS degree;
• 2+ years experience operating as an individual contributor;
• Experience with NHLA rules;
• Effective written and verbal communication;
• Ability to work well with others;
• This is not an entry level position and will require proven competencies prior to assignment;
• Must be able to lift 50+ lbs;
