Gutchess Lumber Inc. is seeking Pallet Material Handler for our Paul Bunyan Products location; responsible team player to contribute to a work environment where all employees work safely and respectfully with one another.

Responsibilities

· Serves as both an individual contributor as well as a team player in achieving production goals;

· Daily preparation of lumber and assembly of lumber to fill required customer orders;

· Operation of various power tools; i.e. Panel saw, radial arm saw, air gun nailer, staple gun, band saw, air dust collection systems;

· Observes and separates scrap material from work process;

· Directs product for remanufacturing processes;

· Creates and maintains a safe work environment honoring all housekeeping practices;

· Observes and reports any issues affecting safety or product quality so as to timely appropriate action;

· May operate mechanical material handling devices;

· Must be accurate in taking and recording measurements;

· Other various duties as per meeting the needs of the company;

Safety

· Requires personal protective equipment be worn at all times;

· safety glasses;

· hearing protection;

· head protection;

· steel toed work boots;

Minimum Qualifications

· High School Diploma or GED

· Able to lift 75 – 100 lbs.

· Must be capable of climbing stairs

· Frequent twisting, turning, and bending

· Agility to work on 1st shift, weekends and / or overtime

· Ability to understand and communicate effectively

· Must be punctual and dependable

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
