We’re currently seeking a Mechanic I to support and maintain the operational readiness of our equipment and vehicles. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a mechanical mindset and a strong work ethic to join a legacy of excellence.
Position Summary
As a Mechanic I, you will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and repair of a variety of machinery, vehicles, and equipment. You’ll work closely with other team members to ensure that production runs smoothly and safely. The ideal candidate is a skilled problem-solver with hands-on experience, strong organizational habits, and a commitment to safety.
Key Responsibilities
- 
	Diagnostics & Repair: Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform repairs on industrial equipment, heavy machinery, and company vehicles. 
- 
	Preventive Maintenance: Follow and improve preventive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and extend equipment life. 
- 
	Task Coordination: Prioritize and complete maintenance tasks efficiently while minimizing impact to operations. 
- 
	Inspections: Conduct regular inspections to identify wear, damage, or potential mechanical failures. 
- 
	Vendor Coordination: Work with suppliers and service providers to source parts and schedule external repairs when necessary. 
- 
	Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, parts usage, and equipment history. 
- 
	Safety Compliance: Always adhere to OSHA and company safety standards, using proper PPE and maintaining a clean, hazard-free work area. 
What You’ll Need to Succeed
Technical Skills
- 
	Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. 
- 
	Experience repairing and maintaining a variety of vehicles and industrial equipment. 
- 
	Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics. 
Soft Skills
- 
	Dependable and self-motivated with strong attention to detail. 
- 
	Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 
- 
	Good communication skills and a commitment to safety. 
Physical Requirements
- 
	Capable of lifting 25–100+ lbs regularly. 
- 
	Able to stand, walk, bend, and work in varying weather and production conditions. 
Qualifications
- 
	High school diploma or GED required. 
- 
	Technical school or vocational training in mechanics is preferred. 
- 
	2+ years of relevant mechanical experience (preferred). 
- 
	Must be 18 years of age or older. 
- 
	Valid driver’s license (preferred).
