We’re currently seeking a Mechanic I to support and maintain the operational readiness of our equipment and vehicles. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a mechanical mindset and a strong work ethic to join a legacy of excellence.


Position Summary

As a Mechanic I, you will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and repair of a variety of machinery, vehicles, and equipment. You’ll work closely with other team members to ensure that production runs smoothly and safely. The ideal candidate is a skilled problem-solver with hands-on experience, strong organizational habits, and a commitment to safety.


Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnostics & Repair: Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform repairs on industrial equipment, heavy machinery, and company vehicles.

  • Preventive Maintenance: Follow and improve preventive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.

  • Task Coordination: Prioritize and complete maintenance tasks efficiently while minimizing impact to operations.

  • Inspections: Conduct regular inspections to identify wear, damage, or potential mechanical failures.

  • Vendor Coordination: Work with suppliers and service providers to source parts and schedule external repairs when necessary.

  • Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, parts usage, and equipment history.

  • Safety Compliance: Always adhere to OSHA and company safety standards, using proper PPE and maintaining a clean, hazard-free work area.


What You’ll Need to Succeed

Technical Skills

  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.

  • Experience repairing and maintaining a variety of vehicles and industrial equipment.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics.

Soft Skills

  • Dependable and self-motivated with strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Good communication skills and a commitment to safety.

Physical Requirements

  • Capable of lifting 25–100+ lbs regularly.

  • Able to stand, walk, bend, and work in varying weather and production conditions.


Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • Technical school or vocational training in mechanics is preferred.

  • 2+ years of relevant mechanical experience (preferred).

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.

  • Valid driver’s license (preferred).


Working Conditions & Safety

This position requires the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times, including:

  • Safety glasses

  • Hearing protection

  • Hard hat

  • Steel-toed work boots

  • Other safety gear as required
